Using the material in class: share your own tables, practice sheets with answer keys, privacy, license (CC BY 4.0).

Free, ad-free material for unit conversion – built for the classroom. No student accounts, no login and no cookie banner on the school pages: use everything directly, without collecting any student data.

The material

  • The prefix ladder – interactive and printable: pick a From and To step and watch the decimal point move.
  • The unit tables – eleven tables in classic chain form, from length and mass to data storage and fuel consumption. Every table is editable: drag rows, change quantities and units, add your own rows.

Using the tables in class

  • Share your own table: everything you change lands in the page address. Build the table you want and share the link – in the weekly letter, on the LMS or on the projector – and the whole class opens exactly the same table.
  • Practice sheets with answer key: the Print practice sheet button gives the table with empty answer cells and name/date lines. The normal printout is the answer key. Build different tables for different groups and print both versions.
  • PDF: every table – including one you have rebuilt – downloads as a single-A4 PDF, ready for the LMS.
  • Students’ own edits are kept only in their browsers. To control what they see, the link is what counts.

Classroom privacy

The school pages have no ads, no login, no profiling or tracking of students and no cookie banner. No student data is collected – the material works without accounts and without consent forms. Does your school’s IT or data-protection officer approve tools? Show them this page – the points above are the whole answer.

All material on the school pages is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). You may copy, print, share and adapt it – including in teaching and in material you pass on – as long as you credit the source.

Sources and method

All conversion factors follow the SI definitions (BIPM) and come from the same versioned unit data that powers the converters on Konvertera.nu. The tables’ exact content is pinned by automated tests – every figure on the school pages is machine-checked against the unit data.
